Next session: Saturday, 26 July 2008 (rain date Sunday, 27 July 2008)

PHOTOGRAPHING LATE SUMMER/EARLY FALL AT FERNWOOD

Next session: September 2008 (dates TBA)

Participants will receive instruction and demonstration on taking better nature photographs among beautiful settings at Fernwood. Lovely summer and fall-blooming flowers will provide a superb camera subject, and late-blooming prairie wildflowers add variety to the day's schedule at Fernwood’s lovely gardens. Danny will instruct participants in choosing good subjects, creating attractive compositions in your camera, how to make different settings on your camera to bring about the best results, and how to control and meter light effectively.

Tripods and cameras with interchangeable lenses or closeup settings and user-adjustable settings are strongly recommended. Either film or digital cameras work well for flower photography. Instruction will be tailored to your individual level, whether beginner or advanced. Limit of 12 participants.

Fernwood is located at 13988 Rangeline Road in Niles, Michigan; you may telephone for information at 269.695.6491, or 269.683.8653 from South Bend. Fernwood’s website is www.fernwoodbotanical.org.

Please register for this full-day event through Fernwood; cost for members is $80, or $95 for non-members including admission. Wonderful lunches are available in Fernwood’s visitor center!
