Potato Creek State Park is located in North-central Indiana. I live about 20 minutes from the park, so it's a convenient place for photography, birding, and hiking throughout the year. It includes a fairly large lake, abundant woodland and wildflowers, and many trails.

"The Tree"

What is "The Tree"?  It's a wonderful old overhanging oak along the shore of Worster Lake in Potato Creek State Park. Since then, I've returned to that place again and again, shooting with various equipment and in different seasons. In late 2001, I discovered that the top of the tree had broken off, above the area that I normally photograph...
